We have launched a membership to help us continue to support the local community and businesses as we have done in the past 2 years.  The membership will help us cover the rising costs involved with the network and in return we're able to give members even more than they had before. 

Membership means that you not only support the network but members get the following:

• Access to all social monthly groups, although our regular monthly events in each location remain completely FREE to attend as our main aim is to build community and enjoy good company.
• As a member you will benefit from a number of special offers and discounts that we have put together for Portugal Friends. We will be adding to these over time and each Partner who agrees to offer discounts to the group will be passed on to all current members. We estimate that the savings you receive from these Partner offers are in the €100's and will more than cover the cost of your membership – for example – 30% on house paint, free delivery on office stationery, free gifts with orders and much more.
• We've built a great reputation for our Portugal Friends events and in the coming year we have a lot more planned, more walks, events, local events, workshops, etc and Members get all of these for LESS than non-members!
• Our new Portugal Friends portal will entitle all levels of paid members to
  • Profile on the website, share as much or little information as you like about yourself
  • make connections with people you meet through Portugal Friends (a lot like Facebook but just for your Portugal Friends)
  • Post events
  • images, videos, blogs, articles …. And so much more.
  • Join groups of interest to you and share events, information, places, arrange get-togethers. Discounted events organised by Portugal Friends - members will pay less than non-members for these events and we’ve built a great reputation for organising value for money, interesting and entertaining events. The new Portugal Friends structure will also enable us to organise more local events for you.
• More … we have a lot more up our sleeve but these will be developed over the coming months, but be assured we’re planning some exciting things for you.

We remain committed to the principle of Portugal Friends being a not-for-profit organisation and in doing so we've been able to keep the membership costs really low and affordable for everyone.
